Job Description

Aircraft Mechanic

Qualifications:

  • Has 5 years experience, thorough training, knowledge, employment history or practical tests necessary to perform the scope of work assigned.
  • Is appropriately certificated as A&P mechanic under ICAO Type II, preferably FAA Licensed.
  • Experience in private Jets like GulfStram, Hawker, Falcon and BBJ is preferable.
  • Is proficient in using the tools, equipment, and inspection aids applicable to the scope of work assigned.
  • Understands the methods, techniques and practices outlined in the manufacturer's maintenance documents, Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, service letters, specifications, and other data acceptable to or approved by FAA.
  • Understands the procedures set forth in this manual for documenting the work performed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • 1. Properly executing the duties assigned.
  • 2. Performing maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers' Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
  • 3. Ensuring that they are thoroughly familiar with all tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used within their assigned area of responsibility.
  • 4. Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record.
  • 5. Report to his superior any abnormal condition encountered.
  • 6. Ensure that the facilities, work area, tools and test equipments are tidy and clean, used tools are returned to their proper location for controlling purposes.
  • 7. Follow general aviation regulatory safety rules and practices.
