Job Description

Basic Function:

The employee is responsible for accomplishing Avionics maintenance work on aircraft either as Line Maintenance or As a Flight Mechanic, all level of maintenance required

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operates and tests aircraft avionics components.
  • Operates and maintains ground support and test equipment.
  • Documents all work performed in accordance with the approved procedures and Technical Data.
  • Ensures all maintenance equipment and tools utilized during maintenance works are accounted for in accordance with approved procedures and Technical Data
  • Interprets and clarifies Technical Data, manuals, diagrams and drawings
  • Operates and troubleshoots aircraft communications and navigation system and components.
  • To assess recurrent defects and present a technical evaluation to the Line Maintenance Supervisor for further investigation.
  • To investigate defects to the highest professional capacity as dictated by the Aircraft troubleshooting/Fault isolation procedures along with industry-recognized troubleshooting methods.
  • Assures that work performance meets Civilian Aviation Regulatory Standards and compliant with the approved applicable Technical Data.
  • Ensures that maintenance tools and equipments are calibrated frequently and calibration validity checked prior each use.
  • When assigned as flight mechanic bellow procedures to be conducted aside from the standard pre flight procedure: 
  • Ø Flight mechanic shall report to aircraft 4 hours prior scheduled departure time.
  • Ø ADIRS start up and IR alignment,
  • Ø Conduct cabin internal check and assist in cabin up keeping and cleaning acceptance.
  • Ø After FM to advise to PIC for final aircraft preparation and readiness after closer of external doors, to remain seated in FM designated seat. If necessary FM to occupy the 2nd observer seat after PIC approval, and maintain minimum communication, no interference with cockpit crew or equipment. Minimum exit and entry to cockpit and limited to physical needs.
  • Ø If meal is needed, FM shall not serve himself.
  • Complies with all safety, housekeeping and foreign object damage programs
  • Participates in Aircraft Line Maintenance, prevention and modifications.
    • Holder of an FCC, EASA or ICAO type II license or previous avionics repairman authorization with a reputable organization.
    • GACA or FAA recognized License in Avionics with Type certification
    • Training should be current in accordance with ALPHASTAR Quality procedures.
    • Pass employment medical exams.
    • Ability to read and understand all standard aircraft technical manuals.
    • Able to communicate to an advanced level in written Technical English.

Total Experience:

  • Minimum (5) years experience as Line Maintenance Technician.
  • Minimum (2) year experience in type similar to   Fleet of aircraft
