The System Engineering department is responsible for all integrator activities which are defined by the Design Organization. The system engineers produce helicopter integrator design data relevant to a helicopter version/variant, as well as related products, parts and subsystems. This data is in accordance with the applicable certification specifications and customer requirements. After contract award the requirements are analysed to establish a preliminary design and/or conceptual design. Based on this result, work packages are defined and managed by System Engineers for full-scale development by design subcontractors.
Job description
The System Engineer Landing Gear converts the functional and technical specifications at landing gear product level into functional and technical requirements at component level for nose and main landing gear as well as for Ski or Sink in protection.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- defining the downflow of Helicopter requirements towards requirement specifications for components such as nose and main landing gear as well as for Ski or Sink in protection
- identifying the system requirements relevant for components and topics as technical landing gear specialist
- harmonizing the function and performance of the helicopter design concept
drawing up detailed work package descriptions, including detailed scope, planning and cost calculations
- supporting the Chief Engineer in verification / integration of component substantiation for the helicopter system
- initiating, coordinating and monitoring the controlled and orderly technical execution of the planned activities with Landing Gear
Function Requirements
- Master's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years relevant working experience
- Knowledge of helicopter systems and landing gears is an advantage
- Fluent in English
- Willing to travel
