Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Engineering Project Manager with a Design background to work as a Design to Cost Leader. You will be working on the new Airbus A350 TED in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Role Summary/Purpose : The Design to Cost Leader - A350 TED demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Essential Responsibilities :
- Provide leadership and technical direction to a large team for a specific program / project with significant business impact
- Establish a plan / program, define objective, and identify resources and funding source
- Manage the program / project, provide interim reports to customer, modify plan as required
- Provide counsel to team on design practices and standards
- Effectively communicate with the customer or program manager to assure a quality product is delivered
- Demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives
- Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within
functional area(s) of expertise
- Involvement in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy

Qualifications/Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or relevant appropriate experience
- Demonstrable working as an Engineering Program Leader involved in aircraft structures or systems
- Demonstrable experience working with a cross-functional team of sourcing / supply chain and operations
