Job Description
Basic Function:
The employee is responsible for performing all aircraft Line maintenance works, including repairs, cleaning, adjustment, assembly, component removal / installation, functional testing, operational checks, fueling and de-fueling, launch and recovery of the Aircraft, and troubleshooting on Aircraft, power plant, APU systems, tools and ground equipment, At line maintenance level. Yet to fly with ALPHSTAR Fleet aircrafts as assigned flight mechanic when needed, and conduct all policies and procedures of flight mechanic as per ALPHSTAR Policies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works through work orders, task cards, flight sheets, assembly pages and technical manuals to perform the necessary assembly work on the aircraft, engines, accessories and components thereof.
- Ensure and tests aircraft fuel system including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components where and when required.
- Installs and operates aircraft fuel system components.
- Performs maintenance on environmental, pneumatic, bleed air system, hydraulic assemblies, units and test benches.
- Perform all maintenance duties in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, policies, procedures and GACA Regulations
- Ensures that maintenance tools and equipments are calibrated frequently and calibration validity checked prior each use.
- Perform aircraft maintenance task and aircraft system troubleshooting including system bites, adjustment and tests.
- To investigate defects to the highest professional capacity as dictated by the Aircraft troubleshooting/Fault isolation procedures along with industry-recognized troubleshooting methods.
- To assess recurrent defects and present a technical evaluation to the Line Maintenance Supervisor for further investigation.
- Operates ground support equipment, required tools and testing equipment.
- Perform aircraft maintenance, remove and replace aircraft system major components.
- Determines from documents, technical orders and other specifications the proper sealing compounds, cleaning solutions and repair procedures.
- Documents all work performed in accordance with approved inspection procedures manual.
- Complies with all safety awareness, housekeeping and foreign object damage programs, and ensure that all assistant technicians working under his supervision do so.
- Performs all other maintenance duties.
- When assigned as flight mechanic bellow procedures to be conducted aside from the standard pre flight procedure:
- Flight mechanic shall report to aircraft 4 hours prior scheduled departure time.
- ADIRS start up and IR alignment,
- In case of aircraft repositioning:
- By towing: only flight mechanic to be on command.
- By taxing: to request PIC for aircraft repositioning by cockpit crew, and no flight mechanic interference.

- Ø Conduct cabin internal check and do cabin up keeping and cleaning acceptance.
- Ø Ensure that aircraft is fueled, potable water and lavatory servicing is accomplished.
- Ø Provide fueling invoice receipt to PIC.
- Ø Monitor all cargo loading and ensure cargo doors closed. And provide PIC with count of cargo loaded and type of loaded items.
- Ø After signing aircraft tech log for pre-flight, FM to advise PIC for final aircraft preparation and readiness after closer of external doors, and remain seated in FM designated seat. If necessary FM to occupy the 1st observer seat after PIC approval, and maintain minimum communication, no interference with cockpit crew or equipment. Minimum exit and entry to cockpit and limited to physical needs.
- Ø If meal is needed, FM shall not serve himself.
Qualification:
- Diploma or certificate in A/C Maintenance.
- Holder of a GACA or an FAA recognized License A& P with Type certification.
- Training should be current in accordance with ALPHASTAR Quality procedures.
- Pass employment medical exams.
- Speaks, reads and writes fluent English.
Total Experience
- Minimum (5) years experience as Line Maintenance Technician.
- Minimum (2) year experience in type similar to ALPHASTAR Fleet of aircraft.
