Senior Manager, Heavy Maintenance Position
Job Role.
To ensure that aircraft Maintenance production unit's objectives are achieved by the strategic administration, monitoring control of all staff within the unit thus producing serviceable aircraft tot the highest levels of quality, reliability and airworthiness standards to meet customer requirements in the most cost effect manner.
Duties
Advise VP on the economic and technical viability in respect of aircraft maintenance of any new potential customer requirements
Ensures that the planned Heavy Maintenance programs are accomplished within the time constraints of the planned program but with sufficient flexibility to meet operational demands
Ensure that all the team members are utilized in the best interest of as which may include redeployment of staff to another section within airframe services.
Set goals and objectives in line with performance management system for team members
Directs the management of the aircraft maintenance teams in the deployment, control and use of staff and resources, so that the airworthiness, reliability and maintenance standards are continually maintained at levels acceptable to both quality department and legislation authorities
Qualifications
Professional Aircraft Engineering Degree or Equivalent together with Management qualifications and ICAO type ii license
Experience
MUST HAVE MINIMUM 12-15 YEARS EXPERIENCE
Broad based experience in Aircraft Maintenance. Detailed knowledge of all aspects of airworthiness legislation and requirements to the satisfaction and acceptance of the regulatory authorities with a sound knowledge and background of aircraft maintenance
Possession of managerial skills based on previous experience especially related to man management. The ability to communicate with all staff together with proven leadership styles is essential
Minimum 5 years experience in a managerial position pertaining to aircraft maintenance.
Proven ability to produce budget and cost savings
