Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Production
Hampshire, South-East
£30000 - £35000 pro rata
Term: 9 month fixed term contract
We are representing an engineering company that designs and manufactures flight data systems, instrumentation and life support equipment. They currently require a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for a 9 month fixed term contract. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will take a proactive approach in the development and implementation of quality assurance to meet business, customer and regulatory needs.
Key duties include:
Develop and handle external Quality Assurance interfaces.
Audit and develop the Business Management System.
Handle all Quality Assurance matters throughout the contract life-cycle.
Establish and improve supplier Quality Assurance relationships.
Lead continuous improvement activities.
Become recognised as a focal point for quality information and direction.
To deputise for the Principle Quality Engineer.
This is an outstanding opportunity for Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with a strong background in aerospace, defence, lean manufacturing or engineering to assist in driving the business. They will have significant experience having worked in a similar role.
The successful candidate will possess a relevant qualification ideally a masters degrees or quality related discipline within the aerospace. The ideal candidate will also have experience of Quality Management Systems and Auditing and be able to demonstrate knowledge of AS 9100, CAA, EASA and FAA procedures, have experience of process mapping and ideally be an IRCA qualified Lead Assessor.
This role requires travel within the UK and occasionally overseas as required.
