An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stress engineer to join our Client on an initial 12 month contract basis.
The stress engineer is required, within the Engineering Stress Team, to support mechanical integrity assessment of components, through analysis of Flight test data and support to verification activities.
The ideal Stress Engineer will have the following:
- Bachelors degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering due to the nature of the role
- An understanding of the following types of High Cycle Fatigue / Low Cycle Fatigue, Foreign Object (FOD) Tolerance and Damage Tolerance and or FE Analysis
- Good understanding of component vibration behaviour / analysis techniques.
- Nastran and Patran
- PC proficient - word, PowerPoint and XL etc
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work within team environment
