AircraftEngineers.co.uk has been instructed to source several Stress Engineers for long term contract opportunities based in France.
As a Stress Engineer you would be part of a team of engineers responsible for the structural analysis integrity, recommendations on design changes (based on analysis) and analysis of primary and secondary structures.
Key Skills
- Educated to a degree or equivalent level in Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering or Stress Engineering experience
- Candidates with experience in stress analysis in areas such as aircraft (will be given primary consideration), automotive, nuclear energy, power stations, large marine, oil rigs, pipe will be considered
- Need to be able to perform technical assessments and produce technical reports
- Lean Engineering
- Finite Element Analysis experience is a must essentially Static and/or Fatigue & DT analyses
- Nastran and/or Patran
- Experienced in the ability to carry out hand calculations
- F&DT experience would be beneficial
- Composite analysis would be desirable and for some positions a must
