Stress Engineer Stans, SwitzerlandOur Structural Engineering Department has an immediate opening for a Senior Stress Engineer.
This challenging position involves:
- Structural Analysis - Classic Static Stress Analysis & Numerical Simulation
- Performance of stress analyses and preparation of certification reports, documenting analyses and results
- Static analysis of the airframe structure based on Finite element Models
- Application of Finite element modelling techniques on the given structure
- Definition, preparation and support of structural testing and preparation of certification reports documenting the testing and the results
- Management of internal groups and liaison with external companies performing check stress analysis or structural testing for Pilatus
For this position you are required to have the following skills and background:
- University graduate MSc and 5 to 10 years postgraduate experience in stress analysis and project management within the aircraft industry
- Familiarity with MSC NASTRAN, FEMAP and LS-DYNA or similar packages is required
- Ability to communicate in English, both written and spoken
- Sound engineering judgement, a co-operative and open attitude and an enthusiasm to develop ones skills
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be self-tasking, and able to work under tight timelines
